Maine PASA Executive Director Steps Down
Executive Director

Dear Friend,  I am leaving my position as Maine PASA’s Executive Director on April 27, 2007 in order to work with the National Direct Care Alliance ( http://www.directcarealliance.org/). Working on behalf of Maine direct care and support workers for the past 2+ years has been an honor and a privilege I will cherish forever.  My new job will enable me to build on that experience and lend national support to Maine’s efforts to build the direct care and support workforce.

I feel fortunate to have been part of the growth and establishment of Maine PASA.  I fully expect my new position will keep me involved with many of the activities here in Maine where we’ve worked together including continuing to support Maine PASA and participating on the coalitions and boards that support the advancement of the personal assistance profession.

The Maine PASA Board has begun the search for a new Executive Director and I hope to assist with the transition once a new ED is hired.  As a direct support professional (DSP) I will certainly continue to be an active member of Maine PASA.
Finally, I want to thank you for all your support and assistance in our work together.

Sincerely,
  Roy G Gedat
