- Dirigo Health Plan
The Dirigo Health Plan is a component of the Dirigo Health Reform Act. Enacted with significant bipartisan support in the Legislature and signed by Governor Baldacci in June 2003, the Dirigo Health Reform Act is a market-based solution to address rising health care costs, improve quality of care, and provide access to coverage for Maine’s uninsured.

- Maine Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
An Ombudsman is a specially trained advocate who is given authority under federal and Maine law to investigate and resolve complaints made by, or on behalf of, long-term care consumers. This could include the consumer themselves, a friend or relative of the consumer, or the consumer's caregiver.
