Elise Scala: founder of Maine PASA People who employ direct care workers know the challenges of recruiting and retaining staff. Most know that they need to go the extra mile to support and recognize the staff members who provide quality services, the ones who are truly going the extra mile every day to serve clients/consumers/residents. Maine PASA would like to recognize the employers participating in the Employer of Choice and Northern New England LEADS Institute grants. These employers are implementing programs that recognize their direct care staff while involving workers and building quality jobs to support quality care.
